Born out of Copenhagen

Piohni was born during a cold winter in a little apartment in Copenhagen, Denmark, from a deep appreciation for the calm and relief that matcha brings. Yet, time and again, people are met with bitter, low-quality matcha. Driven by this frustration, founder Johanne Cornelia tasted and tested 147 Japanese varieties to create Piohni’s ceremonial grade matcha — vibrant green, naturally sweet, and creamy, with a delicate aroma of mellow umami and white chocolate. With Piohni, you can except nothing less than a creamy matcha without any hints of bitterness. The flagship product quickly made its way onto the menus of Copenhagen’s best cafés and local gems. Today, Piohni’s matcha and expanding tea line is enjoyed from Spain to Dubai and beyond, served at some of the world’s finest hotels and cafés.Piohni is more than just exceptional matcha and tea.
